The Boom Section Proudly Presents This Premiere Event!

This is our biggest, most ambitious undertaking yet- A homegrown music festival at the Bandshell in Forest Park. Our hope is that it will become an annual, free, outdoor event that celebrates local musicians. This year's acts all hail from the 5 boroughs and Long Island. The show will consist of very distinct sounds that span many generations: From classic, bluesy 70s-style rock, to folk, to Metal, to Alternative. A little something for every fan of rock.

THE LINEUP:

THE BOOM SECTION

Picture

Mario Robles is the lead vocalist, Paul Wunsch is on guitar, James Hayes on bass and Greg Cerar on drums. Their sound is heavily influenced by classic acts such as AC/DC, U2, Aerosmith, with some of the raw driving force of 90s alternative bands like The Foo Fighters and Soundgarden.

DANIEL TIGHE

NYC singer songwriter, Dan Tighe, heard on WFUV 90.7, will be performing songs from his critically acclaimed EP SENSITIVE GUY. Mr. Tighe's finely crafted songs range from laugh out loud funny, [ I HATE GYM] to heart breaking ("GETTIN' TOO OLD FOR A BROKEN HEART") to spot on social commentary ("HAS ANYBODY SEEN THE MIDDLE CLASS?")

SYSTEM IN CHAOS

Picture

System In Chaos is an original hard rock band from NY/LI formed of five members who all have different influences. Blending all those influences together is what makes System In Chaos's sound. Ev III System makes up the voice of the band with J Sins on lead guitar. Stevie Adidas on guitar and Donnie Chaos on bass make up the rhythm section. The man simply known as "X" is the hard-hitting drummer of the band. This fast-rising band has a sick twisted sense of humor which it pours out into their music.

STILL THE VIZITORS

Picture
We are four musicians who have spent our entire lives in and out of bands. Somehow we met up and formed this one - the band we had waited all our lives for. Recently, we've been performing with a guest vocalist, from The Boom Section, in an attempt to spice things up a bit. Our music is a blend of life with rock, blues, jazz and pop added in.

John Zahorodny - Guitar and Vocals
Han Van Hess - Bass and Vocals
Tony Sabato - Keyboards and Vocals
John Romanelli - Drums, Percussion and Vocals

Mario Robles- Guest Vocalist
